Grace Chang is a multimedia artist from Chula Vista, California. Her use of delicate materials including silverpoint and colored pencil, and embellishment of plates with crystals, reinforce the preciousness that she attributes to her work, which she considers to be a site for affirmation. She constructs landscapes through a process of personification and consideration of how relationships might manifest in land. Her work contains larger themes of gender performance, light, and cycles of motherhood. Her work was recently included in the group exhibition Paper and Clay at Woods-Gerry Gallery (Providence, RI). Grace received a BFA in Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design and currently resides in Chula Vista.
